What to do if a cyberattack does occur?

The National Cyber Security Centre NCSC advises the following steps:

Put emergency plan into effect, disconnect all systems from the network, change login data and turn off WLAN
Be sure to report cyber incidents to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) – regardless of whether damage has been done or not: NCSC web form
Report criminally relevant incidents (intrusion into data processing system / theft / extortion) to the police: Dial 112 or contact your local police station: www.suisse-epolice.ch
The NCSC helps to assess which malware has affected you and whether other companies have been affected.
The police advise and support further action, e.g. whether a ransom should be paid
Specialised private companies help to repair and, if necessary, restore your infrastructure.
