NEW - Veeam V12 with new functions
The latest version of Veeam was introduced in mid-February 2023. As a service provider, we already use this version on all our systems. With V12, long-awaited functions have finally been integrated into the software.
One of the most frequently requested innovations is clearly the additional protection of the backup console with 2FA. In addition, an automatic logout has also been integrated, which can be optionally switched on and automatically logs the user out of the software after a certain time.
Another major change is certainly the strategic switch from MS SQL to PostgreSQL as the standard programme for the configuration database. Another point is that Veeam with V12 clearly underpins the necessity of “immutability”, i.e. unchangeable backups, and therefore expands this function further.
